  Kara raised her hand during one  of the TAGS workshops. She is an analytical person with a career in accounting, so of course, she is very calculating.

With a puzzled look on her face she asked,

"Why are the oils called essential?"

This is one of my favorite questions. There are a few differing opinions about the answer, but this allows me to emote my passion for the spiritual and physical answer I prefer.

 Essential Oils are the life force of the plant. It is a reference to  the therapeutic chemical characters of the plant  that promotes healing .Life force is also known as chi energy in martial arts . It is the energy that connects all beings on planet Earth and the spiritual plane. 

Everything resonates at a particular vibrational  frequency called Hz. Essential oils have been measured to vibrate at various high frequencies.
